Programs
Help children in impoverished communities go from surviving to thriving
Project M:25 helps children in impoverished communities around the world heal from trauma, build resilience, and thrive.
Visiting Groups
The program for visiting groups offers a profound opportunity for key stakeholders to engage with and better understand the realities faced by communities in developing nations. Participants in the program are provided a comprehensive and immersive experience, including active participation in Project M:25 initiatives. These engagements not only illuminate the challenges
and triumphs of children and the communities that we serve but also foster empathy and a deeper connection to our mission. By exposing visitors to the complex dynamics of life in these regions, we aim to inspire them to become passionate advocates for change.
Holistic Community Care Certification
This ten-module training course is designed to equip ministers and laypeople to serve as community care advocates and better serve the vulnerable in their communities. It is a unique blend of biblical principles, spiritual disciplines, practical benevolence, and simple socio-emotional techniques that work together to enhance the physical, mental, relational, and spiritual well-being of at-risk families. This certification process, endorsed by Lee University, provides the knowledge and skills necessary to address the complex needs of traumatized individuals resulting from poverty. Using this strategy, local churches and organizations can create safe spaces for emotional expression, spiritual support, and practical assistance, thus contributing to the process of fostering resilience and building stronger, more empathetic communities.
Internships
This program is designed for ministerial students who serve as interns with us or individuals who wish to dedicate time in hands-on learning. We strive to create a supportive community where students can grow and learn alongside experienced ministry professionals. This program provides students with the opportunity to contextualize what they have learned in the classroom while also learning and putting into practice the THRIVE holistic ministry model in the field. Our team of experienced ministry professionals works closely with each student to ensure that they are correctly learning and applying the tools, techniques, and best practices associated with serving as a holistic minister in vulnerable communities. In addition, students often have the opportunity to train others in these skills and practices, thus furthering their professional development.
