Send me the lessonsFor kids: Mission Crew
Kids become a Mission Crew. Each one gets a mission folder, earns a stamp every week, and takes on a hands-on challenge in 15 to 20 minutes. Kids who miss a week still belong.
| Mission | The big idea | Hands-on |
|---|---|---|
| 01 The Mystery Package | Missions is joining what God is already doing, close to home and far away. | Open the package together; a clean and dirty water reveal |
| 02 Walk in Someone's Shoes | Safe water means strong days. Yumi's story shows what missionaries actually do. | The Water Walk obstacle course |
| 03 The Chain Challenge | Missions is teamwork. God uses every kid in the room. | A Helper Chain race against the clock |
| 04 GO! Mission Field Map | You're sent: home, school, neighborhood, world. | Build an Encouragement Pack to give away |

For teens: Field Notebook
"Will the real missionary please stand up?" Four 30 to 40 minute sessions for ages 12 to 17, built around real questions and designed to be discussed, not lectured. Your leaders facilitate; the discussion is the lesson.
| Week | What happens |
|---|---|
| 01 Spot the Gap | Spot what's fake about missions content, then design what real looks like. |
| 02 Heavy Water | Trauma-informed care, taught with a heavy water demo, Yumi's story, and three real scenarios. |
| 03 Which Lane | Six roles adults play in missions: pray, go, teach, build, encourage, give. Each teen names their main lane and a second one. |
| 04 The $25 Decision | Each small group directs $25 of the church's missions money to one of three real options, then explains why. |
Includes a leader guide and a printables packet with each teen's notebook pages.
A free sample: the Crew Code
Kids learn three short lines in the first week and say them every week after:
- Every child deserves clean water.
- We don't look down. We reach out.
- We're not the heroes. We're joining the helpers.
Don't drill them like a chant. Just say them often and let them stick.
Who made it
Since Project M:25 was founded in 2012, we've been on a mission to help vulnerable children around the world thrive. Mission Crew's water stories come from that work, including Give Water, where local churches bring clean water to families and walk with them for a year. Read our story.
